Kalamunda Rangers 12 v Wanneroo Giants 13 Wanneroo Giants defeated Kalamunda Rangers 13-12 on Saturday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at 12 with Wanneroo batting in the bottom of the eighth when Andrew Walsh singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Wanneroo collected 17 hits and Kalamunda had 15. The Giants captured the lead in the first inning as Brayden Luksa drew a walk to start the scoring. Wanneroo also put up four runs in the fifth inning with RBIs from Walsh and Mark Argiropoulos. Kalamunda scored four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Dave RYAN, Liam CUBBAGE, and Jared CHAMP, all knocking in runs in the inning. Simon Eissens earned the win for Wanneroo. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six and walking zero. Greg Elliott threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Travis Wright took the loss for Kalamunda Rangers. He allowed 16 hits and nine runs over four and a third innings, striking out one. Matt Coleman started the game for Wanneroo. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Chris Bishop started the game for Kalamunda. The hurler went three innings, allowing four runs on one hit and striking out two. Kalamunda hit two home runs on the day. Kyle Cornfield went yard in the first and Cubbage had a dinger in the eighth. Wanneroo totaled 17 hits in the game with three hits apiece from Luksa and Travis Erdmann. Eissens, Mitchell Belton, Elliott, Brett Mola, and Walsh all managed multiple hits too. Kalamunda collected 15 hits on the day. Ryan went 3-for-5 at the plate while Brandon Naughton, Wright, Cornfield, and Brendan Morris each collected multiple hits for Kalamunda Rangers. Kalamunda plays the Braves on Sunday and Wanneroo plays Rockingham on Monday. Port Hedland Reds 5 v Braves 9 Port Hedland fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-5 loss to Braves Baseball Club on Saturday. The Braves scored in the first on a groundout by Steve McLaughlin and a single from Matthew Froude. Donald Ismail had an RBI single in the second inning, and another run scored on a wild pitch during Matthew Van Der Graaf's at-bat. The Braves scored four runs in the fourth with RBIs from Joshua Morris, Van Der Graaf, and McLaughlin. Froude was the winning pitcher for the Braves. The ace surrendered five runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out four. Mick Coffin took the loss for Port Hedland, lasting seven innings, allowing 13 hits and nine runs while striking out three. Port Hedland collected eight hits on the day as Eugene Cheong went 3-for-3 and Corey Bowins had two hits. The Braves racked up 13 hits with multi-hit games for Froude, Darrell Green, Ismail, and Morris. The Braves were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error as McLaughlin made the most plays with 11. Both Port Hedland and the Braves play Rockingham on Sunday.
