Baseball WA is proud to announce the launch of the Baseball WA Hall of Fame to recognise the achievements of those who have played a momentous role in shaping our great game in Western Australia with outstanding on-field contributions.
Over 12 months ago, in conjunction with the announcement of the Baseball WA Museum, we formed a Heritage Committee who were tasked with the responsibility of developing and creating the Baseball WA Hall of Fame.
Upon establishing the framework for the Hall of Fame, the Heritage Committee appointed an inaugural selection panel who evaluated the candidates put forward by baseball clubs throughout Western Australia.
It was established by the Heritage Committee that current Western Australians who are already members of the Baseball Australia Hall of Fame would be automatically granted entry into the Baseball WA Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees are:
On March 30th 2021 at the Baseball WA Awards Night, the inductees will be formally recognised in front of their peers, friends and family.
On the development of the Hall of Fame and the importance of the continual documentation and celebration of Baseball in Western Australia, Baseball WA CEO Lachlan Dale states:
“We are tremendously proud of the history of baseball in WA and being able to celebrate our past champions and their contributions to the game is only fitting. The 2021 inductees are the benchmark for outstanding performance on the field whether it be playing for their club, state, national team or international careers. Over the span of 85 years of baseball being played in WA, only 34 inductees will be recognised in this inaugural year and it is an honour for the sport to be able to recognise our best.”
