Baseball WA is excited to expand senior competitions for the 2022/23 season with the creation of three new leagues: State Baseball League, Community Baseball League, and Women's Baseball League. “We are looking forward to a bright future for baseball in WA with our restructured and expanded senior competitions,” Baseball WA CEO Lachlan Dale said. “I'd like to thank the clubs and members who joined the working sub-committees to review, provide feedback, offer insight, and develop the updates. We are focused on offering more opportunities to play our great game and hope to see continued growth in participation and give people at all levels the chance to enjoy a memorable baseball experience on and off the field.” State Baseball League State Baseball League (SBL) is the pinnacle of baseball competition across Western Australia. SBL will replace all existing grades from State League to D Grade that are played under the traditional 9 batter format. Community Baseball League Community Baseball League (CBL) will replace all existing senior grades currently run under 14 batter rules. CBL will be social and community-focused and split into both north and south regions. After finals for each region, a north vs south CBL Tournament Cup will commence for all divisions. Women's Baseball League Women's Baseball League (WBL) will commence with two divisions for the 2022/23 season. Baseball WA hopes that creating a competitive division as well as retaining a more social division will encourage more of our 285 female players to participate in the Women's League.
