Liam Hendriks has been named to Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game for a second time.
The 32-year-old West Australian will feature in the 2021 All-Star Game at Colorado’s Coors Field next week after becoming the first Aussie to be selected twice. David Nilsson (Milwaukee, 1999) and Grant Balfour (Oakland, 2013) were both selected once while Hendriks made his first appearance in 2019 as a then member of the A’s. His selection is reward for a strong start to his first season as a member of the Chicago White Sox after signing a $70 million ($US54 million) three-year deal, with an option for a fourth, in January. Hendriks has converted 21 saves and compiled a 2.57 ERA with 53 strikeouts and only four walks over 35 innings. He will be once of three players representing the American League Central leaders after starters Carlos Rodón and Lance Lynn were also named. The 2021 All-Star Game is scheduled for July 14 at 9am AEST. Click HERE to read more on this huge accomplishment. Comments are closed.
