WA Women's and Youth Girls Head Coach Application

Applications are now open for the State Women's and Youth Girls teams who will be competing at their respective National Championships in 2020.

Please provide your expression of interest outlining your baseball experience and resume and confirm or address your understanding of the following expectations;

• Execution of all State Team training programs for all athletes;
• In consultation with the assistant coaches, co-ordinate training and pre / post game preparations;
• Liaise with High Performance Manager (HPM) regarding all program planning aspects.
• Co-ordinate / implement game plans in line with WA High Performance Programs.
• Co-ordinate coaching / support team. Monitor / evaluate game, individual player, team, coaching staff outcomes.
• Responsible for disciplinary action for on field misconduct of coaching staff and players report serious matters to Baseball WA.
• Compliance with general rules of conduct at the National Championships.
• Enforce the Baseball Australia and Baseball WA Player Code of Conduct and adhere to the Baseball Australia Coaches / Managers Code of Conduct.
• Present yourself and the team in a professional and positive image at all times.

Selection Process

• Ensure registered into HP Coaching Pool with involvement in either WA Performance Institute, MLBAAP or Winter Program.
• Applications for Head Coach Positions will be called by November 1st for following AWYGC.
• Baseball WA Performance Committee (BWA/PHHPC) will review all applications and appoint with additional input from HPM.
• Head Coach Appointment announced to WA members.
• A post-tournament review of National Championships. Head Coaches will be conducted post tournament.

In addition

• Applications for Assistant Coaches and Support Staff will be called for by December 1st for the 2020 National Championships.
• BWA will review applications and appoint with additional input from HPM and appointed Head Coach.
• State Team Assistant Coach Appointments will then be announced to WA members.
