Three WA players have been named on the rosters for next weekend’s Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase presented by VALO in Adelaide.
Adelaide and Brisbane will be represented by 32 of the top female players from around the country in the historic doubleheader on April 3 at West Beach’s Bennett Field. Thirteen members of the 2018 Boral Australian Women’s World Cup roster have been named. Seven players have been added from rosters announced for the Melbourne games last month, which were called off following Victoria heading into a COVID-enforced lockdown. Western Australian trio Kaila Borgomastro, Caitlin Eynon and Aislinn Morris have been named after players from the state were not available for games in Melbourne due to border restrictions. Amy Collins, Maddison Erwin, Maddison Heath and Carly Moore have also been added to the rosters. Game one will get underway from 5pm local time with the second game to follow from 7.30pm on April 3. Broadcast details and the format for the games will be revealed early next week. Adelaide’s Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase is presented by VALO and proudly supported by the South Australian Government. Tickets will only be available at the door via card purchases. Adult tickets are $10 and children under 16 are free.
