Diamond League

Baseball WA's "Older Aged Pathways", known as Diamond League, caters for players aged 17 to 23 years old and who therefore are too old for the Little League pathways. These pathways provide additional benefits and experiences that assist with player retention and personal growth and development through additional competition and tournament play coupled with high quality coaching and support programs.

GOALS
  • Increase the percentage of junior players transitioning into seniors by providing beneficial pathway opportunities.
  • Keep players keen to improve and develop their games.
  • Surround the cohort with quality coaching and support services.
  • Focus on players who have exited or not been involved in professional or college baseball including ABL and the Heat Futures program.
  • Provide cohort with more game time against quality opposition including progressing to national and international events.

STRUCTURE
  • WA to be split into four zones
  • Each zone shall be run by a BWA –appointed General Manager
  • Players shall play for the zone team that their club is aligned to
  • Players from Regional WA can "cameo" for the team of their choice
  • Teams will play 10 games (9 round robin plus one final) - Wednesday nights at Baseball Park from October through December.
  • Players shall register their interest (link below) and will be advised by their GM if they have been selected in the squad

TOURNAMENT PATHWAYS
  • The winning team shall represent WA at the National Super League Championship
