Baseball WA is pleased to announce that Darryl Moyle has been awarded Life Membership following the Baseball WA Annual General Meeting.
The AGM was held on Tuesday, 28 January 2020, when Moyle’s nomination for life membership was unanimously accepted by shareholders and the board of directors. Life Membership is an honour bestowed on members of the baseball community who have dedicated years of service to the growth and advancement of baseball in Western Australia. Moyle’s decades of involvement in the sport have been a massive difference to the baseball community, and Baseball WA looks forward to presenting him with his Life Membership Medal at the Baseball WA Awards Night on 31 March 2020. Game 1: Carine Cats 6-5 Gosnells Hawks
W: Devon Ramirez (2-3), L: Adam Millson (2-5) Game 2: Carine Cats 6-2 Gosnells Hawks W: Peter Reyes (4-4), L: Kane Silvi (0-1) The Carine Cats closed the gap on the playoff spots by recording a double-header sweep over the Gosnells Hawks over the weekend. After claiming a tense 6-5 win in game one thanks to Cameron Landy’s go-ahead run in the seventh inning, the Cats made it two on the bounce after taking game two by a score of 6-2. Carine utility Peter Reyes had a day to remember – homering and driving in a team-high five runs in game one before taking to the mound in game two where he struck out nine batters across 7.1 frames. Reyes gave up just one run on five base hits to record the win. As we announced via our website and social media platforms, Baseball WA has been engaging with PONY League on gaining access to tournament pathways for our players who would not otherwise be able to do so under our Little League program.
Baseball WA is pleased to advise that Amanda Mirco has been appointed Head Coach of the Australia West team that will compete at the Pony Girls Baseball World Series in the Philippines in July.
