Morley 3, Carine 1 Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Friday, but Morley Eagles defeated Carine Cats 3-1. Morley pitchers allowed just four hits to Carine. Riley Franklin was the winning pitcher for Morley. The hurler lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking one. Cody Holt threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen, earning the save. Ethan Campbell took the loss for Carine. Campbell surrendered two runs on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out two. Koskei Partington-Hopes started the game for Morley. The right-hander went three innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out two. Kieran Chapman, Luke Hughes, and Adam Millson each collected one hit to lead Morley. The Eagles were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error as Matt Dixon had the most chances with five. Perth 7, Victoria Park Belmont 3 Victoria Park Belmont Reds lost the lead late in a 7-3 defeat to Perth on Saturday. Perth was down 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Jordano Vivona doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs. The Reds took an early lead in the first inning as Curtis Bacon's sac fly scored one run. Peter Reyes got the win for Perth. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out seven. Andrew Hurrelbrink took the loss for the Reds, throwing five and a third innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, and striking out four. Sean Garratt led Vic Park Belmont with two hits in three at-bats. Perth totaled 12 hits in the game. Brayden Moyle, Devon Ramirez-Beaver, Edgar Mundarain, and Brady Oliphant all had multiple hits. Perth 20, Victoria Park Belmont 11 Victoria Park Belmont Reds stayed in it until the end, but Perth pulled away late in a 20-11 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at eight with Perth batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run. Despite the loss, the Reds did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Perth had 15 hits on the way to victory. Perth fired up the offense in the first inning. Ronnie Sweeny singled to drive in a run. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Reds tied things up at eight, scoring two runs when Lachlan Ballantyne singled. They scored seven runs overall in the sixth, with singles by Jack Smalpage and Ballantyne, a sacrifice fly by Daniel Patching, an error on a ball put in play by Ben Warrington, and a double by Ryan Boyer. Kaine Newham earned the win for Perth. The pitcher lasted one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and three runs. Jake White, Brayden Moyle, and Jordan Moore all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Cole Jenkins took the loss for the Reds. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing three hits and six runs while striking out one. Matthew Martin started the game for the Reds. The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while walking one. Morley got on the board in the first inning when Kieran Chapman doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. One bright spot for Wanneroo was a single by Nicholas Riley in the first inning.' Millson earned the win for Morley. The ace lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Jordan Matos took the loss for Wanneroo. Matos lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out two. Chapman led Morley with two hits in four at-bats. Rockingham 10, Wembley 1 Four hits from Vinnie Tarantola helped lead the way for Rockingham Rams over Wembley Magpies 10-1 on Sunday. Tarantola singled in the first, second, third and fourth. Rockingham got on the board in the first inning when Thomas Flynn drew a walk, scoring one run. The Rams scored four runs in the fourth inning, led by Finlay Duncan, Tarantola, and Tomas Swinson, who all drove in runs. Tarantola was the winning pitcher for Rockingham. The pitcher surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out six. Mitchell Field threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Chris Crawford took the loss for Wembley. Crawford allowed four hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two. Rockingham totaled 12 hits as Tarantola went 4-for-5 and Duncan had multiple hits, too. The Rams didn't commit a single error in the field as David Nichols had the most chances with six. Nick Alexiou went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Wembley in hits. Swan Districts 3, Gosnells 0 Gosnells Hawks fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-0 loss to Swan Districts Swans on Sunday. Swans scored on doubles by Ashton Hamilton and Anthony Daniele in the second inning. The pitching was strong on both sides. Swan Districts pitchers struck out eight, while Gosnells sat down four. Swan Districts got on the board in the second inning. Hamilton doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. A single by Joseph Scaramella in the second inning was a positive for Gosnells. Marshall Shill pitched Swan Districts to victory. The ace allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight. Jameson Kruger took the loss for Gosnells, throwing six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out four. In the second inning, Braves got their offense started when Lochlann Varian singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run. Stone singled in the first, second, and fourth before homering in the sixth. The Rams got things moving in the first inning. Tomas Swinson drew a walk, scoring one run. Rockingham scored six runs in the fourth inning with singles by Thomas Flynn and David Nichols, a walk by Stone, and a sac fly by Jesse Neretlis. Brock Molloy got the win for Rockingham. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over six innings, striking out nine. Samuel Adrian threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Michael Albertini took the loss for Wembley. Swans scored on a single by Conor Parry in the first inning, a single by Ashton Hamilton in the second inning, and a walk by Daniel Johnston in the third inning. Swan Districts got things started in the first when Parry singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Gosnells notched four runs in the sixth inning, including a single by David Burgess and a sac fly by Eli Von Garsen. Swans scored three runs in the sixth with RBIs from Brody Clarkson and Demias Jimerson. Dillian Clarkson earned the victory on the mound for Swan Districts. The ace allowed one hit and two runs over five innings, striking out three. Brown and Aiden Maguire entered the game out of the bullpen. Brown recorded the last nine outs to earn the save. Scorpions nabbed the lead late in the game in a 13-7 victory over Stingrays on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with Scorpions batting in the bottom of the fifth when Andrew Hurrelbrink drew a walk, scoring one run. Callum Hurrelbrink led Scorpions to victory by driving in six runs. Hurrelbrink went 2-for-4 at the plate. Hurrelbrink drove in runs on a groundout in the first, a single in the third, and a triple in the fifth. Scorpions opened up scoring in the first inning, when Hurrelbrink grounded out, scoring one run. After Stingrays scored one run in the top of the sixth, Scorpions answered with one of their own. Stingrays scored when an error scored one run for Stingrays. Scorpions then answered when Michael De Gasperis singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Curtis Bacon got the start for Scorpions. Tom Bailey induced a fly out from Cas Silber to finish off the game. Wanneroo secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. Byron Armstrong, Troy Bullingham, Courtney Jones, Dawson Summers, Jacob Santich, and Daniel Bourke all moved runners across the plate with RBIs. The Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run. A single by Olal Carter in the fourth inning was a bright spot for Carine. Jordan Matos took the win for Wanneroo. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one. Bailey threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Simon Fisch took the loss for Carine.
