Rockingham Rams 13-2 South Perth Cubs
W: Mitchell Field (1-0), L: Tommy Albert (0-1) The Rockingham Rams scored early and often, producing a strong all-round performance to defeat the South Perth Cubs 13-2 on Wednesday night. The Rams scored all 13 runs within the first five innings as they cruised to victory. Leadoff man Chase Diggins led the Rockingham offence, going 3-4 with three runs and three RBIs, while Thomas DeBonville homered and drove in a pair. Mitchell Field claimed the win on the mound, pitching 6.2 stellar frames, while Tommy Albert was tagged with the loss. Perth 7-6 South Perth Cubs
W: Guillaume Duguay (3-2), L: Evan Perera (0-1) Outfielder Brendan Dadson’s ninth inning RBI single was the difference as Perth defeated rivals the South Perth Cubs 7-6 to kick off the Week 11 fixtures last Wednesday night. Tied at 6-6 heading into the final inning, Dadson singled home Brady Oliphant with two outs on the board as Perth snuck home in a tight encounter. On the mound, Guillaume Duguay tossed a complete game for Perth – striking out eight batters on route to picking up the win. Evan Perera took the loss in relief of Will Sherriff. W: Chris King (4-1), L: Alex Oeheme (2-2) The Wanneroo Giants opened the Week 10 proceedings in strong fashion, downing Braves 10-5 last Wednesday night. Jake Turnbull and Dondrie Hubbard both drove in three runs apiece for the Giants, with Hubbard also leading his team with three base hits. On the mound, Chris King collected the win despite giving up three runs in as many innings. Jay Bullingham and Tom Bailey combined for nine strikeouts across five frames for Wanneroo with Braves’ Alex Oehme tagged with the loss. Baseball WA would like to congratulate Peter Torpy on his appointment as the Women's State Head Coach for the 2020 National Championships.

W: Luke Mann (3-0) L: Jhai Anderson (1-2) The South Perth Cubs opened the Week 9 fixtures in emphatic fashion, downing the Carine Cats 10-4. The Cubs offence was hot throughout – taking an early 10-1 lead after just five innings. Max Wheeler doubled twice, while Tony Olson tripled in the win as leadoff man Adam Barbarich led South Perth with a pair of RBIs. Luke Mann tossed six strong innings before Zachary Holland closed out the game – striking out five batters across three scoreless frames. |
