Senior League Swan Hills Aces 12 - Coastal Bay Sharks 8 There were runs aplenty on Wednesday, as Swan Hills Aces defeated Coastal Bay Sharks 12-8. The Aces opened up scoring in the first inning as Gareth Bacon drew a walk, scoring one run. Swan Hills tallied five more in the second with RBIs from Lewdon Te Mara, Kai Cahill, Bacon, Tyler Houston, and Jackson Stivey. Coastal Bay scored three runs in the fifth inning. Niyaz Abdul and Griggs Jaygee each had RBIs in the frame. Cahill toed the rubber for the Aces and surrendered one run on one hit over three and a third innings, striking out five. Samuel Sheppard was on the mound for the Sharks. The bulldog allowed four hits and three runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three. The Aces racked up ten hits as Taj Egan went 3-for-3 and Houston had two hits. Jaygee led the Sharks with two hits in four at bats. Cahill Lachlan had three of the team's 11 stolen bases. Wanneroo Giants 12 - Carine Cats 1 The Giants relied on four quality at-bats from Jack Angell including two hits and two RBIs. They scored two in the first, one in the third, five in the fourth, and two runs in both the sixth and the seventh. Wanneroo had eight hits and Carine had five, with the Giants making two errors and the Cats recording three. Sam Gooch had three hits and Ryan Gough had two while both plated a pair of runs for Wanneroo. Kaine Newham and Jacob Santich had four quality at-bats for Wanneroo. Newham pitched 3.1 innings for Wanneroo with seven first-pitch strikes with three strikeouts and a 0.90 WHIP. Josh Molen Wanneroo Giants 7 - Southern Titans 5 SL - Wanneroo Giants Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over SL - Southern Titans. SL - Wanneroo Giants snatched the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over SL - Southern Titans on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with SL - Wanneroo Giants batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kaine Newham singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. SL - Southern Titans scored three runs in the first inning, but SL - Wanneroo Giants still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for SL - Southern Titans came thanks to groundouts by Campbell Froude and Samuel Forrest and an error on a ball put in play by Nicholas Davis. SL - Southern Titans fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for SL - Southern Titans. In the bottom of the fourth inning, SL - Wanneroo Giants tied things up at five when Cody Van Der Graaf's wild pitch allowed one run to score for SL - Wanneroo Giants. SL - Wanneroo Giants notched four runs in the third inning. SL - Wanneroo Giants put the pressure on, lead by a walk by Quinlin Jones, a single by Ryan Gough, and by Xavier Fatai. Patrick Anderson was on the hill for SL - Wanneroo Giants. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four and walking one. Aiden Branch started the game for SL - Southern Titans. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two. Davis, Van Der Graaf, and Mitchell Forrest each contributed in relief for SL - Southern Titans. SL - Wanneroo Giants scattered eight hits in the game. Jacob Santich, Gough, and Newham each collected multiple hits for SL - Wanneroo Giants. Newham, Gough, and Santich each managed two hits to lead SL - Wanneroo Giants. SL - Southern Titans totaled seven hits in the game. Van Der Graaf and Geoffrey Kerr each managed multiple hits for SL - Southern Titans. Intermediate League Southern Hills Warriors 2 v Carine Cats 21 IL - Carine Cats defeated IL - Southern Hills Warriors 21-2 on Wednesday thanks to 14 runs in the first inning. The offensive firepower by IL - Carine Cats was led by Hunter Pascoe, Sienna Angeloff, Dante Miria, Tyler Mann, Riley Groves, and Oliver Wilkinson, who each had RBIs in the inning. IL - Carine Cats fired up the offense in the first inning, when Pascoe singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Callum Jack got the start for IL - Carine Cats. The lefty went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three. William Baker was on the hill for IL - Southern Hills Warriors. The righty went two-thirds of an inning, allowing ten runs on four hits and striking out two. Kyan Paterson and Oliver Afanasiew entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively. IL - Carine Cats collected eight hits. Eastern Phantoms 15 v Western Comets 6 IL - Eastern Phantoms bested IL - Western Comets in a high-scoring affair, 15-6. The IL - Western Comets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing IL - Eastern Phantoms, giving up 15 runs. IL - Eastern Phantoms got things moving in the first inning. Korbyn Wilson threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for IL - Eastern Phantoms. In the bottom of the third inning, IL - Western Comets tied things up at six. An error scored one run for IL - Western Comets. IL - Eastern Phantoms pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. IL - Western Comets notched four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by IL - Western Comets was led by Noah Forrest and Joshua Lockwood-Reader, who all drove in runs. IL - Eastern Phantoms scored six runs in the sixth inning. IL - Eastern Phantoms offense in the inning was led by George Calverley and Adam Taylor, all driving in runs in the inning. Toby Franklin was on the hill for IL - Eastern Phantoms. Franklin surrendered three runs on zero hits over one and one-third innings, striking out four. Wilson was on the mound for IL - Western Comets. The righthander allowed zero hits and one run over one inning, striking out three and walking zero. Eastern Phantoms 13 v Western Tigers 1 IL - Western Tigers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-1 loss to IL - Eastern Phantoms on Wednesday. IL - Eastern Phantoms scored on a single by Toby Franklin and a triple by Brady Manning in the first inning. The IL - Western Tigers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of IL - Eastern Phantoms, giving up 13 runs. IL - Eastern Phantoms opened up scoring in the first inning, when Franklin singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. IL - Eastern Phantoms scored five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by IL - Eastern Phantoms was led by Aaron Hugo, Manning, and Jez Doody, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Wanneroo Giants 18 v Carine Cats 4 IL - Carine Cats fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 18-4 loss to IL - Wanneroo Giants on Wednesday. IL - Wanneroo Giants scored on a double by Quinn Fatai, a single by Oliver Newham, and a single by Tristan Clarke in the first inning. The IL - Carine Cats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of IL - Wanneroo Giants, giving up 18 runs. IL - Wanneroo Giants got things started in the first inning when Fatai doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. IL - Carine Cats put up three runs in the third inning. The rally was led by doubles by Hunter Pascoe and Riley Groves and a single by Riley Hay. IL - Wanneroo Giants scored six runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for IL - Wanneroo Giants came thanks to a single by Rhien Bridges, a groundout by Fatai, and a double by Tom Williams. Fatai led things off on the mound for IL - Wanneroo Giants.
