Congratulations to Eastern Phantoms (Division 1) and Wanneroo Giants (Division 2) on winning the 2021 Think Again Little League State Championships! Little League Division 1 Grand Final Eastern Phantoms 7 - Wanneroo Giants 6 The grand final game against Eastern Phantoms was a heartbreaker for Wanneroo Giants, as they lost the lead late in a 7-6 defeat. The Phantoms were down 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning when Sebastian C singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. The Giants collected five hits and the Phantoms had six. Wanneroo took an early lead in the first inning when Riley L doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Marcus W got the start for the Phantoms. The righty lasted one-third of an inning, allowing zero hits and three runs. Sebastian B led things off on the mound for Wanneroo. The bulldog went four innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out four. Zach R and Hyte B entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively. Wanneroo collected five hits on the day. Riley and Cooper B had two hits apiece for the Giants. The Phantoms collected six hits which two apiece from Klay D, Zai G, and Sebastian. Little League Division 2 Grand Final Wanneroo Giants 6 - Sun City Thunder 2 Wanneroo Giants won the contest against Sun City Thunder with a final score of 6-2. The Giants opened up scoring in the first inning, when Taylor B drew a walk, scoring one run. They scored three in the second on groundouts by Mitchell E and Declan M and a walk by Mason E. Brayden G got the start for the Giants. The righty lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out ten. Summer C toed the rubber for Sun City. The righty lasted three and a third innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out four. Sean M threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Brayden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Giants in hits. The team was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Declan had the most chances in the field with 14. Summer led Sun City with two hits in three at bats. The side didn't commit a single error in the field as Ashton C took six chances, the most of the team.
