Baseball WA is proud to announce the 2021 Rays Showcase from Sunday, 3 January – Friday, 15 January.
With the support of major partners Tampa Bay Rays and Diamond Fitness, Baseball WA will offer an elite program endorsed by the MLB team in place of the cancelled 2021 Australian Youth Championship. The showcase schedule mimics professional spring training and the start of a minor league season with a focus on athlete development on and off the field. Players will be surrounded by a range of opportunities to enhance their knowledge and abilities in key areas for success both locally and internationally. “We are looking forward to an excellent Rays Showcase to start off a big year of baseball across the state,” Baseball WA CEO Lachlan Dale said. “While it’s a different format to previous years, this high performance opportunity is designed to give athletes extensive experience and exposure to further their development and help them reach their baseball ambitions. We are excited to offer our promising junior talent the chance to demonstrate their skills and continue improving on their path to success.” Highlights of the 2021 Rays Showcase include:
Players will have access to over 20 of Western Australia's most elite coaches and past players including former professionals, Perth Heat and national team representatives: Tony Adamson, Jason Hewitt and Josh Kennelly to name a few. A series of guest speakers will provide insight into the challenges that lay ahead and the skills to deploy when they arrive, and the team from Diamond will be on hand for all strength and conditioning needs.
