Baseball WA COVID-19 Update

Baseball WA is committed to the health and safety of its clubs, members, and volunteers and in the current environment impacted by COVID-19, Baseball WA will support the community to mitigate the risk and whilst delivering baseball competitions throughout WA.

We ask that you please respect information below and adhere to the directions of Baseball WA.

Baseball Park Conditions of Entry - March 14th 2022 - Covid-19

• Based on the latest health advice and in consultation with WA State Government, from 14th March 2022, all patrons including players, coaches, spectators, volunteers and staff will require proof of double vaccination or medical exemptions to enter Baseball Park.
• People are required to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination, either in a digital or paper-based form, along with approved identification. See the Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations for more information.
• Players and spectators are to be double vaccinated to enter the Baseball Park from March 14th 2022
• Single point of entry at main front gate
• Masks at all times for hospitality staff
• Masks at all times in changerooms
• Masks at all times if you are unable to socially distance
• Sign into Baseball Park’s QR code upon entry

COVID-19 Competitions Plan 

• Players, officials, volunteers and spectators who are required to isolate as per WA State Government Health Department requirements for Covid-19 must advise their club of their status. The club must immediately notify Baseball WA Competitions Dept.
• If Teams have a player who is required to isolate, Teams can play a replacement player from a grade lower than the ‘isolating player team’ and can play back-to-back games with no restrictions.  
• This can be replicated as often as required subject to Baseball WA Competition Dept approval.
• If a team cannot be filled with replacement players (eg. a club becomes a hotspot or multiple teams are affected) the game will be classed as a ‘No Game’
• Only State League 1 games will be re-scheduled by Baseball WA. No other grades will be re-scheduled as per policy.
• This also applies to Juniors however junior players can already play 2 games in a day as per regulations which will remain consistent.  
• Little League Competitions will still need to ensure their compliance with Little League regulations.
• A “No Game” is treated like a rain out
• Note: Season Ladders are based off winning %
