Baseball WA is pleased to share that youth girls teams will now wear black pants following a new ruling based on a recent research study by Victoria University and the Institute For Health and Sport.
With young males 15-17 years three times more likely than young females to engage in 60 minutes of daily exercise, it’s important to ensure girls are comfortable in their uniforms and given the resources and support they need to succeed. A National Study on What Girls Want in Sports Uniforms found that 64% of girls prefer to wear dark coloured bottoms in sport outside of school. The new recommendations for sport uniform policies are based on:

Baseball WA will ensure these recommendations for black girls baseball pants are followed moving forward. Please note girls participating in programs and competitions alongside male athletes will continue to wear the coloured pants associated with those teams.
