Stingrays took home a 7-5 victory over Pelicans on Wednesday.
Pelicans got things moving in the first inning, when Bailey Moorfield singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. After Pelicans scored one run in the top of the sixth, Stingrays answered with one of their own. Stingrays then answered when Nick Davis singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Stingrays pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jaxon Date doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs and Davis singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Lucas John led things off on the hill for Stingrays. The fireballer went three innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out three and walking one. Matthew Stanton was on the hill for Pelicans. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one. Brendan Heath threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
