Wanneroo 6, Vic Park Belmont 0 Wanneroo Giants defeated Victoria Park Belmont Reds 6-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Yuichi Shiota induced a groundout from Ben Warrington to finish off the game. One bright spot for the Reds was a single by Sean Garratt in the first inning. Frazer Brice got the win for Wanneroo. Brice lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Shiota threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Matthew Martin took the loss for Vic Park, throwing two innings, allowing five hits and five runs while walking one. Garratt started the game for the Reds, throwing three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out five. Wanneroo totaled eight hits. Ben King and Jacob Santich had two hits apiece as the Giants were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Nick Irwin made the most plays with nine. Garratt led the Reds with two hits in three at-bats. Morley 5, Wembley 0 Morley Eagles defeated Wembley Magpies 5-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Lochy Southee struck out Henry Kellen to finish off the game. A single by Riley Spring in the first inning was a positive for Wembley. Todd Murphy pitched Morley to victory. The ace surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. Southee threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Nick Alexiou took the loss for Wembley. The pitcher surrendered five runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four. Adam Millson started the game for Morley. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three and walking zero. Kieran Chapman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Morley in hits. The Eagles didn't commit a single error in the field as Matt Dixon had the most chances with nine. Morley 15, Wembley 0 Morley Eagles defeated Wembley Magpies 15-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Lachlan Waite struck out Matic Lesnjak to finish off the game. Morley Eagles got on the board in the first inning. Luke Hughes doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. The Eagles scored five runs in the third inning with singles by Matt Dixon, Josh Silvi, and Zac McMillin, an error on a ball put in play by Aaron Bonomi, and a double by Hughes. One bright spot for Wembley was a single by Henry Kellen in the second inning. Waite led Morley to victory on the hill. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking zero. Chris Crawford took the loss for the Magpies. Crawford lasted two and a third innings, allowing seven hits and 11 runs while striking out two. Kodai Hamaya started the game for Morley. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out nine and walking one. The Eagles collected 12 hits on the day. Silvi, Hughes, and Dixon all had two hits to lead the way. Perth 4, Swan Districts 0 Jordon Moore didn't allow a single run as Perth defeated Swan Districts Swans 4-0 on Sunday. Moore allowed just four hits. A single by Brody Clarkson in the second inning was a positive for Swan Districts. Moore was the winning pitcher for Perth. The righty allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero. Dustin Brown took the loss for the Swans, throwing three innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out two. Jordano Vivona, Brady Oliphant, Devon Ramirez-Beaver, and Brayden Moyle each collected one hit to lead Perth. Maverick Hamilton went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Swan Districts in hits. Gosnells 9, Carine 4 Gosnells Hawks snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-4 victory over Carine Cats on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Gosnells batting in the bottom of the fifth when Taj Varga drew a walk, scoring one run. Carine scored three runs in the third inning, but Gosnells still managed to pull out the victory. Andre Bello, Cas Silber, and Conor Lourey each drove in runs during the inning. In the top of the fourth, Carine tied things up at four. Joshua Davies's sac fly scored one run for the Cats. Jack Burt was the winning pitcher for Gosnells. Burt went six innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out five. Cooper Granland took the loss for Carine. Granland went one-third of an inning, allowing three runs on zero hits. Lourey started the game for the Cats. The bulldog surrendered six runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Jamie White went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Gosnells in hits. Brannon Hayes led Carine with two hits in three at-bats. Rockingham 2, Braves 1 Braves stayed in it until the end, but Rockingham Rams pulled away late in a 2-1 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at one with Rockingham batting in the top of the sixth when Tomas Swinson singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Rockingham pitchers struck out six, while Braves sat down five. Rockingham got things moving in the first inning, when Jesse Sequeira singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. In the bottom of the third inning, Braves tied things up at one. Sam Kennelly doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Vinnie Tarantola led Rockingham to victory on the pitcher's mound. The lefthander went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out six and walking one. Daniel Schmidt took the loss for Braves. The lefty allowed nine hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero. Kennelly went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Braves in hits. The team was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Matt Kennelly made the most plays with 11. Rockingham tallied nine hits on the day. Sequeira, Swinson, and Joshua Diggins each collected multiple hits for Rockingham. Wanneroo 12, South Perth 2 South Perth Souths watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 12-2 loss to Wanneroo Giants on Sunday. Wanneroo scored on a home run by Nicholas Riley and a single by Courtney Jones in the first inning. Wanneroo opened up scoring in the first inning. Riley hit a solo homer. The Giants scored six runs in the ninth inning. Jones, Daniel Stephenson, Daniel Bourke, and Riley all moved runners across the plate with RBIs. Jay Bullingham was the winning pitcher for Wanneroo. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six and walking zero. Jordan Matos and Rob Sorensen entered the game out of the bullpen to pitch in relief. Joshua Rawlinson took the loss for South Perth. The pitcher allowed ten hits and six runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero. Wanneroo hit three home runs on the day: Riley in the first, Jacob Santich in the fourth, and Jones in the fifth. Adam Barbarich led South Perth with three hits in four at bats. Wanneroo had 14 hits in the game. Riley, Ben King, and Jones all managed multiple hits while the Giants were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jones had the most chances with 13. Perth 13, Swan Districts 5 Perth defeated Swan Districts Swans 13-5 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Perth batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run. Perth secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the eighth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Kaine Newham, a single by Devon Ramirez-Beaver, a groundout by Brayden Moyle, an error on a ball put in play by Jordano Vivona, and a double by Brady Oliphant. Perth fired up the offense in the second inning, when an error scored one run. Perth pulled away for good with three runs in the sixth inning. An error scored one run for Perth and Ronnie Sweeny doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Perth tallied seven runs in the eighth inning with RBIs from Ramirez-Beaver, Newham, Vivona, Oliphant, and Moyle. Matteo Pizziconi earned the win for Perth. He allowed four hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Max Brendan threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Dillian Clarkson took the loss for Swan Districts. The pitcher surrendered six runs on six hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Cruze Brendon started the game for Perth. Brendon lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out two. Ramirez-Beaver went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Perth in hits. Swan Districts collected seven hits. Gosnells opened up scoring in the second inning, when Nick Falcetta singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Liam Baron was the winning pitcher for Gosnells. The lefthander surrendered two runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Sam Forrest threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Cas Silber took the loss for Carine. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one and walking zero. Mitch Forrest started the game for Gosnells. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Jacob Stanton started the game for Carine. Braves 5, Rockingham 0 Braves defeated Rockingham Rams 5-0 on Sunday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Tucker Smith induced a groundout from Luke Turner to finish off the game. Braves put up four runs in the eighth inning. The big bats were led by Daniel Choi, Jordan Dyer, and Sam Kennelly, who each had RBIs. A single by Jesse Sequeira in the fourth inning was a positive for Rockingham. Matt Kennelly was credited with the victory for Braves. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on two hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero. Kennelly and Smith entered the game out of the bullpen and to close things down in relief.
