New umpires, or umpires transitioning from tee-ball to baseball, are invited to attend the Community Accreditation Workshops hosted by the WABUA at Perth Modern School on Saturday 11 September, Sunday 19 September, and Saturday 9 October.
Each session will commence at 9am and conclude at 1pm at Perth Modern School, Subiaco Rd, Subiaco. Accreditation requires attendance at only one of the dates above. Cost is FREE – just 4 hours of your time… All inquires should be directed to WABUA Instructors, Chris Rapley (chrisrapley@outlook.com) or Lou Bonomi (bonomi05-28@bigpond.com). The Community Accreditation workshop will introduce umpires to the responsibilities, skills and rules of baseball umpiring. Instruction will be by accredited WABUA Instructors to the standards required by Baseball Australia. Training will include practical instruction during which participants will be introduced to umpiring techniques, positioning and execution of basic rule knowledge. This course is the minimum level of training umpires must have to officiate at all junior games. At completion of the course participants will be registered with BWA as having attained the Community Umpiring Accreditation and be awarded a “Green Shirt” package. Comments are closed.
