Congratulations to Wanneroo Giants on winning the 2020/21 Senior League Club Championship in a 7-5 victory over Swan Districts on Tuesday.
The game was tied at five with Wanneroo batting in the bottom of the fifth when Rhys Kelly grounded out, scoring two runs. Swan Districts scored three runs in the second inning with RBIs from Riley Ozanne and Michael DeGasperis. Kaine Newham was on the pitcher's mound for Wanneroo. The fireballer allowed four hits and five runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Kai Cahill started the game for Swan Districts. The hurler lasted four and a third innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out five. Corey Edwards and Lewdon Te Mara entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Wanneroo collected ten hits.
