WSL Jets watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-4 loss to WSL Force on Thursday. WSL Force took the lead on a single in the first inning. The WSL Jets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing WSL Force, giving up 13 runs. In the first inning, WSL Force got their offense started. Georgia Butler singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. WSL Jets put up four runs in the fourth inning. WSL Jets batters contributing to the big inning included Tiah Hope, Joneen Houghton-Offer, Simone Maver, and Makayla George, all driving in runs in the frame.
WSL Force scored six runs in the fifth inning. WSL Force's big inning was driven by singles by Christina Kreppold, Aislinn Morris, and Faith Neretlis and a double by Tamika Turner-Hames. Kaila Borgomastro led things off on the mound for WSL Force. She lasted three innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out six. Meaghan Haggart was on the mound for WSL Jets. She lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out three. Hope threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen. Caitlin Eynon, Hope, Yuuki Ishikawa, Holly Gerretzen, and Houghton-Offer all had one hit to lead WSL Jets. WSL Force collected 13 hits on the day.
