Gosnells Hawks 6 v South Perth Cubs 2 - Feb 17 South Perth fell 6-2 to Gosnells on Wednesday despite out-hitting them seven to six. The Hawks got their offense started in the first when Liam Collins doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. South Perth tied things up at one in the bottom half as Scott Cornish doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. After the Hawks scored one run in the top of the fifth on an error, the Cubs answered with one of their own when Tanner McCarn was hit by a pitch, driving in a run. The Hawks scored three runs in the sixth with RBIs from Silvi, Lee Wisby, and Robin Adamson. Joshua Silvi earned the victory on the mound, giving up two runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out nine. James Watson took the loss for the Cubs. The bulldog lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two and walking one. Adam Barbarich led the Cubs with two hits in four at bats. Wisby went 2-for-3 for Gosnells as the team didn't commit a single error in the field. Jack Burt had nine chances, the most on the team. Victoria Park Belmont Reds 10 v Morley Eagles 0 - Feb 16 Mathew Martin threw a gem on Tuesday for Victoria Park Belmont, allowing zero runs and besting Morley by a score of 10-0. The Reds secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by a triple by Joshua Greenham and a single by Joshua Lavender. One bright spot for Morley was a double by Aaron Bonomi in the first inning. Martin earned the victory on the hill with no runs and just three hits allowed in five innings, as well as seven strikeouts. Brendan Thomas took the loss for Morley. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one. The Reds had 12 hits in the game with multiple to Matthew Reynolds, Greenham, and Ben Hischar. Reynolds led the team going 3-for-3 as the defense made no errors. Swan Districts Swans 4 v Rockingham Rams 3 - Feb 14 It came down to the wire on Sunday, with Swan Districts taking the victory over Rockingham on a dramatic walk-off error in the late innings. The Swans were down 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning when an error scored two runs. Rockingham scored its three runs in the first inning with a solo homer from Chase Diggins and RBIs by Cayden Nicoletto and Tomas Swinson. Tyson Noel was the winning pitcher with eight hits, three runs, and six strikeouts over seven innings. Matt Ward threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Diggins took the loss for Rockingham, allowing three hits and three runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two. Nicoletto started the game for Rockingham. The bulldog went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out three. Riley Moore led the Swans with two hits in three at bats while Joshua Diggins went 2-for-5 at the plate for Rockingham. The Rams have a 7-15 record going into games v Carine and South Perth. The Swans are 9-14 and play Morley next. Wanneroo Giants 5 v Victoria Park Belmont Reds 0 - Feb 14 Wanneroo defeated Victoria Park Belmont 5-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jackson Riley induced a fly out from Lachlan Ballantyne to finish off the game The Giants got their offense started in the first inning when Corey Brown's wild pitch allowed one run to score. Wanneroo tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Conor Lourey and Daniel Stephenson, all driving in runs in the frame. A single by Josh Paull in the fourth was a positive for the Reds. Chris King was the winning pitcher for Wanneroo. The righty went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out two and walking zero. Riley threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Brown took the loss for the Reds after surrendering four runs on five hits over five and a third innings, walking zero. Daniel Bourke went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Wanneroo in hits. Wembley Magpies 5 v Braves Baseball Club 4 - Feb 14 A walk-off led Wembley past the Braves 5-4 on Sunday. The game was tied at four with the Magpies batting in the bottom of the tenth when a sacrifice bunt by Joris Van Ballegooy scored the winning run. Wembley captured the lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Joshua Houston. The Braves tied it up at four in the fourth inning when Lochlainn Varian grounded out, scoring one run. Chris Crawford led things off on the pitcher's mound for Wembley, going nine innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out 12. Todd Hatcher was on the pitcher's mound for the Braves, covering six innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out five. Alex Oehme threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Braves had two home runs on the day - both in the third inning to Jordan Dyer and Jack Rigden. Despite falling down by six runs in the third inning, Perth tried to fight back, tallying 11 runs in the failed comeback. South Perth's big inning was driven by a walk by Jaxon Limpus and by Caleb Goodwin. They notched five runs in the third inning thanks to singles by Jack Rigden and Dyer, a home run by Kevin Clark, and a groundout by Jaxon Date. A double by Tomas Swinson in the second inning was a positive for Rockingham. Alex Oehme pitched the Braves to victory. The lefthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one. Nuttall threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Wanneroo pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning as Summers doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Jay Bullingham was credited with the victory for Wanneroo. The pitcher allowed seven hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero. Chris King and Jackson Riley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close it out in relief. Riley recorded the last three outs to earn the save..
