Baseball WA is pleased to now be working with Inclusion Solutions to provide club support to drive awareness around issues of social inclusion and disability.
In addition, we are eager to expand the existing Little League Challenger program that has been running at Wanneroo since 2016. Thank you to Matt Shaw from Inclusion Solutions and Matt Callaghan from Challenger Division for their presentations on social inclusion and disability awareness. This was a fantastic session filled with valuable takeaways for BWA/TBAWA staff and charter/club committees to share with our community. The interactive workshop explained how sporting organisations can become more inclusive and welcoming of all people, particularly those from low-participation backgrounds. Click HERE to view the presentation. We also learned more about the existing Little League Challenge program that has been running at Wanneroo since 2016, and we discussed goals to expand Challenger Division in the future. Learn more HERE. Stay tuned for more updates as we hope to run a second presentation with Inclusion Solutions in the coming months. Learn more about Inclusion Solutions and Challenger Division. Baseball WA looks forward to another big year for the West Coast Rays with plans for the 2024 Down Under Winter Classic well underway.

Please view the full position description HERE. Nominations close 31 January 2024 and may be submitted HERE. Please note player expressions of interest will open once GMs are in place. Baseball WA and TBAWA are excited to introduce an annual tee-ball event as part of the Little League State Championships held across the Easter long weekend, starting in 2024.
We are inviting a team from each of the chartered regions to enter an Under 10 team into the four-day event for the new tee-ball division consistent with the Little League charter model. “Thank you to TBAWA for the collaborative support as we launch this exciting new event. With two games per day, the potential to play games under lights and livestreaming of finals, it promises to be a fantastic experience for all players and coaches involved,” BWA Participation Manager David Hayes said. “We hope to see a good turnout of charter team nominations to ensure a fun competition where players can further develop their confidence and skills on the field.” Tee-ball clubs have been allocated to charters based on location and natural pathways, which you can view HERE. All rules associated with the Under 10 division of the TBAWA State Championship shall apply. Selection and organisation of teams can be done either by the existing charter committee or a working group of the tee-ball club committees (or a combination of both). Players will be charged a small tournament entry fee TBD which will include a team playing shirt and cap. Team nominations are required by 28 February 2024. If you have any initial questions that you wish to discuss, please direct to Little League District Administrator Jo Finney at littleleague@baseballwa.asn.a |
