 Although the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in changes to baseball in the immediate future, Baseball WA remains committed to connecting with the baseball community across social media. With that in mind, Baseball WA is excited to officially announce the launch of an Instagram account dedicated to all things baseball across WA.
Instagram is just one part of Baseball WA’s increased efforts to enhance media coverage across multiple platforms and showcase more amazing baseball achievements.  Further to updates provided on Thursday, 18th March, Baseball Australia has make the difficult but necessary decision to postpone all Little League national events:

Credit: Carine Cats Baseball Club In the final week of baseball action before COVID-19 ceased all game activity until further notice, State League 1 kicked off its finals campaign with the South Perth Cubs knocking off the Carine Cats in the Wildcard Game.
With a two hugely anticipated semi-final series set to take place, safety and health precautions were prioritised, which unfortunately has ceased all baseball activity for the foreseeable future.  The Board of Baseball WA has adopted further changes to upcoming baseball activities and events to comply with government mandates surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and prioritise the health and safety of the community.
 Baseball WA, in this unprecedented and unique situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, has adopted changes to upcoming baseball activities and events to protect the health and wellbeing of participants and the wider community.
Decisions in relation to the health and safety of our baseball community have been given careful consideration. Baseball WA has participated in consultations with the federal and state government, Sport Australia and Baseball Australia and our state and territory baseball counterparts. As a result of these careful discussions, Baseball WA has reached the conclusion that finals planned for this weekend will go ahead, although with extra precautions in place. This is subject to any further developments and directives from the federal and state government and Baseball Australia. |
