Game 1: Morley 16, Perth 1 Jesse Williams got busy on the basepaths on Tuesday, knocking four hits in Morley Eagles' 16-1 victory over Perth. Williams singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth. Perth got things started in the first inning when Ronnie Sweeny doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. In the bottom of the first inning, Morley tied things up at one. Williams singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Morley pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning as Aaron Bonomi doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. Morley notched eight runs in the fifth inning. Williams, Jayson Miller, Josh Silvi, Brandon Migro, and Cody Holt all drove in runs in the frame. Kodai Hamaya pitched Morley to victory. The ace lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four. Lachlan Waite threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jake White took the loss for Perth. The righty went three innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out three. Morley had 11 hits in the game. Williams, Bonomi, and Silvi all managed multiple hits as Williams led with four hits in five at bats. The Eagles didn't commit a single error in the field. Kieran Chapman had seven chances, the most on the team. Sweeny went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Perth in hits. Game 2: Perth 4, Morley 2 Morley Eagles outlasted Perth 4-2 on Thursday night. Morley got things started in the first inning. Jayson Miller singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. In the top of the fourth inning, Morley tied things up at two when Luke Hughes singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Perth took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning. An error scored one run and Jake White was struck by a pitch, driving in another. Devon Ramirez-Beaver took the win for Perth. The pitcher surrendered two runs on six hits over five innings, striking out two. Jordon Moore and Edgar Mundarain entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Mundarain recorded the last six outs to earn the save. Lachy Southee started the game for Morley. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out six. Perth hit one home run on the day. Ronnie Sweeny put one out in the first inning. Perth had six hits in the game. Brady Oliphant went 3-for-5 and Sweeny had multiple hits, too. Game 3: Morley 10, Perth 4 Morley Eagles stole the lead late and defeated Perth 10-4 on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Morley batting in the bottom of the eighth when Kieran Chapman was hit by a pitch, driving in a run. Perth scored three runs in the seventh inning, but Morley still managed to pull out the victory. Perth scored on a groundout by Ezzard Bryant. Adam Millson was credited with the victory for Morley. The ace allowed one hit and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Jake White took the loss for Perth. The righthander allowed five hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Kodai Hamaya started the game for Morley. The fireballer allowed four hits and three runs over six and a third innings, striking out eight. Cruze Brendon started the game for Perth. Braves scored on a single by Ben Drew, a single by Jordan Dyer, an error, and a single by Tim Kennelly in the second inning. Braves earned the victory despite allowing Wanneroo to score three runs in the first inning. Wanneroo's big inning included a single by Courtney Jones and an error on a ball put in play by Dawson Summers. Braves pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. Drew singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Dyer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring another along with an error. Kennelly singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two more. Braves scored five runs in the third inning with RBIs from Joel Beches and Sam Kennelly. Tucker Smith earned the win for Braves. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out ten. Alex Oehme threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Tom Bailey took the loss for Wanneroo. The righty lasted two innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out three. Braves tallied 16 hits on the day. Drew, Dyer, Josh Kennelly, Geoff Kerr, and Kennelly all managed multiple hits for Braves. Drew led Braves with four hits in five at bats. Jones went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Wanneroo in hits. Game 2: Wanneroo 4, Braves 3 Wanneroo Giants won 4-3 against Braves on Friday. Wanneroo got things moving in the first inning, when Nick Irwin singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Braves evened things up at one in the top of the second inning. Geoff Kerr's sac fly scored one run. Wanneroo pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. Irwin singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Jay Bullingham took the win for Wanneroo. The righty surrendered one run on five hits over six innings, striking out seven. Frazer Brice threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Brice recorded the last nine outs to earn the save. Matt Kennelly took the loss for Braves. The righty lasted eight innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out three. Wanneroo racked up nine hits on the day. Irwin and Byron Armstrong had two hits apiece. Braves tallied eight hits. Kevin Clark went 3-for-5 as Jordan Dyer and Jack Rigden had multiple hits, too. Braves didn't commit a single error in the field with Josh Kennelly taking eight chances to lead the team. Game 3: Braves 8, Wanneroo 6 Braves stole the lead late and defeated Wanneroo Giants 8-6 on Saturday. The game was tied at six with Braves batting in the bottom of the eighth when Matt Kennelly's sac fly scored one run. Wanneroo scored five runs in the fifth inning, but Braves still managed to pull out the victory. Wanneroo’s offense in the inning was led by Ben King, Nick Irwin, Courtney Jones, Dawson Summers, and Jacob Santich, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs. Braves got things moving in the first inning. Sam Kennelly drew a walk, scoring one run. After Wanneroo scored, Braves evened things up at six in the bottom of the seventh inning when Kevin Clark drew a walk, scoring one run. Tucker Smith earned the win for Braves. The ace lasted four and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero. Jackson Riley took the loss for Wanneroo Giants. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out one. Daniel Schmidt started the game for Braves. The lefthander allowed eight hits and six runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Jordan Matos started the game for Wanneroo. The righty surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings, striking out two. Sam Kennelly, Clark, Tim Kennelly, Geoff Kerr, Ben Drew, Joel Beches, and Josh Kennelly each managed one hit to lead Braves.
